Tyler is really tuckering us out... How does he get all of his energy?
We visited the dog park today. I did a drive-by of the park yesterday, just to get a feel for the place. I feel fortunate to have a place for Tyler to social with other dogs off-leash (the dog park is fenced in). At first I was a little bit nervous -- He is so small when compared with all of the malemutes, huskies, and mixed breeds. But, he was actually the aggressor when it came down to it. He ran with the big boys and he made a lot of friends with the ladies -- if you get my drift. We stayed for nearly 2 hours. When we got home, he still wanted to play with Curtis and me. Of course, all we wanted to do was put our feet up.

House breaking is going better today. We are more aware of how long after drinking or eating he will need to go outside. Tyler had a small accident from the sound of the vacuum, but that is just nervous jitters.

We have set up a doggie bed in the living room for him and his crate is in our bedroom. I sure hope he sleeps longer than 5 hours tonight without needing to go outside -- Curt is sick of getting up with him.

Curtis says, "Tyler is a cute, little puppy." I am sure that you would agree!

Tyler is 10-weeks old. He was small enough that he could ride on the plane with us in the cabin. We were a little bit nervous about 'bathroom' issues that might come up during the flight. Overall, he was a real trooper -- no whining or scratching until the last 30 mins. We took him out of the carry-on mid-flight for a few minutes just to reassure him that we were still with him. As soon as we exited the plane, Curtis took him out for some water and fresh air.

The first night was interesting. He was tired, but very nervous and sad. He left behind his sisters and previous owner, Michael. Our home was considerably less interesting with only the two of us here. He woke up a couple times during the night whining. Curtis took him to the bathroom once during the night.

Today has been better for him (and us). He has explored most of the apartment and his toys. He occassionally sits in his crate... but he mostly likes to nap with Curtis.
